A team member is required to assist with ensuring that morning refreshments are provided to cyclists and route support personnel during our 16 day 2023 Outback Odyssey, an 900 km off road ride on the iconic Mawson Rail from Elder Park, the CBD of Adelaide, through the Flinders Ranges and up to the end of the bitumen in Blinman.
You will be assisting another volunteer who is very experienced in this role.
The refreshment stops are usually set up by 8.30 am each morning. The stops will be approximately 20 - 25 kms from each morning's breakfast location and remain in operation until the last rider/sag vehicle arrives. This will take about 3 to 4 hours. You will then travel to the next campsite, restock for the next day and/or assist as required.
An average day will commence with breakfast at 6.30 am, continuing on with the morning refreshment stop (3 - 4 hours) and conclude when you return to the campsite and assist with restocking for the next day.
After the 5.15 pm daily briefing, the rest of the day is your free time.
