The Shire of Ravensthorpe would like your assistance to host campgrounds across Western Australia, including Starvation Bay, Mason Bay, and Hamersley Inlet Campground. Camp host opportunities are available year-round, however, the council is in particular need in what is considered to be the best season to visit the region, October through to May. Camp hosting provides an affordable way to stay a while and explore the region. Some camp hosts in previous years have chosen to stay several months and during their stay have become welcomed members of the small community enjoying weekly lawn bowls and local events. Due to the training and support provided to volunteer camp hosts, in addition to having a welcoming disposition and having their own caravan or motorhome, the council requests a minimum commitment of four weeks.
